Profile of Dr. Rajul K. Gajjar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor - GTU

Dr. Rajul K. Gajjar has been contributing to the Engineering Profession since the past 40 years. She has completed UG and PG from L D College of Engineering and Doctorate in Structural Disasters from M S University Baroda. She has to her credit publication of more than 66 National and International Research Papers, has authored 4 books and has published 3 Patents granted.

Dr. Gajjar has supervised more than 30 PG and 8 Doctoral Students. She has lead more than 38 high-end projects on International Collaborations, Centers of Excellence, Research, Innovation, Accreditation and Ranking frameworks for Excellence in Engineering Education, Industry & Alumni Outreach, Internships, Faculty and Student Outcomes.

She has worked as Principal of L. D. College of Engineering and other Government Engineering Colleges. Before holding the Charge of Vice Chancellor of GTU she was associated with GTU as its 1st Dean and 1st Director. She was also appointed as Additional Commissioner of Education Dept., GoG 2017 & Officiating Vice Chancellor of Teacher’s University in 2018.

Dr. Gajjar has been a recipient of major National awards by Institute of Engineers India as Eminent Civil Engineer, by NASSCOM and Higher Education for Leadership, by Hon. CM Gujarat for Best Innovation Practices and by Hon. HRD Minister at International Vibrant Education Summit and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Citation Award for Leadership in Academic Excellence and AI by panel of IITians under ReThink India.

She works on National Committees for NEP 2020 and Initiatives for industry hands- on experiential learning. She works closely with NBA, AICTE, Professional bodies and various Research Organizations. Dr. Gajjar has International exposure at USA, Canada, Australia, Hungary, Austria, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
